DESIGNING THINKERS: THE ICG DESIGN THINKING INSTITUTE
Join us on APRIL 15–17, 2015 at WHISPERING PINES CONFERENCE CENTER of the University of Rhode Island for the DESIGNING THINKERS, the ICG’s Design Thinking Institute.
Featuring the expertise of Design Thinking maven and veteran educator Christian Long, this event will immerse participants in the ideas and practice of Design Thinking not just as another methodology to be applied in curriculum and assessment but as a practical and strategic paradigm for approaching virtually all of the challenges and quandaries faced by educators as we develop new programs, new policies, and new kinds of practice to meet the demands of a changing world.
This deep-dive into design thinking for academic deans, deans of faculty, deans of study, assistant heads of school, school heads, department chairs, teacher-leaders or anyone tasked with leading initiatives in schools. Along with several participant-driven “unconference” sessions and exciting and relevant keynotes from Christian Long, the event will also feature presentations from several schools that have implemented Design Thinking in various ways to enhance teaching, learning, and planning.
Held at the beautiful Whispering Pines Conference Center on the W. Alton Jones Campus of the University of Rhode Island, DESIGNING THINKERS combines a beautiful setting with unsurpassed opportunities to share and collaborate with peers from around the nation while exploring in depth the power of Design Thinking as a tool to improve our work.
